Thank you for your list. Much appreciated. I would like to say that I do not find Dr. Barkley negative at all. I think he is direct, informative and yes, has a dry way of expressing himself. I like stark science. It offers me a sense of uncluttered space. He himself says 'educate yourself'. 'Read as many studies and different points of view as you can'. I like what he says in terms of ADHD not being something that predisposes us to possessing special attributes. That our attributes, or gifts... are like anyone else's. That we all have them, but they are not because of the ADHD. I think some people might want to feel special to defend against the possibility of feeling defective because of the neurodiversity. Fair enough. It can be a real blow to receive a diagnosis. But I just want to say that it doesn't really serve me, and I like his research. AND, again. I really appreciate yours. Thank you.
